Personal reflection on C&D thinking and mind mapping

Hi everyone ! Welcome again to my blog. Last week our teacher asked us a question that looks very easy to answer: What is a computer?

At the beginning we thought that searching in the internet for that question was the best way to answer it. But it isnt so easy. He said to us, we should look for a more complex answer.
We watched a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBx4TM8niG8  and learned that there are two kind of focus questions.
Convergent and divergent.
Convergent questions are short and basic. Everything brings you to one precise point, like the questions get you to one answer.
Some examples of questions are who, what, where and when.
In this topic you might ask: What is a computer? If you type this question in Internet, the answer is basic: A computer is an electronic device that manipulates information, or data. It has the ability to store, retrieve, and process data. You may already know that you can use a computer to type documents, send email, play games, and browse the Web.
This answer does not help me to extend the research. But there are also the
divergent questions. They are the opposite. They allows you to explore more about the topic  and also leads you to more questions.

I used the divergent questions to make my research. I looked for one question like: which are the parts of a computer? and it leads me to more questions. They give you more possibilities to learn about one topic.

Then, while we answer those questions, we create a mind-map with MINDOMO. There we put all the information about the question. It was very easy to use and it did not take so much time.

This is me, working on the Mind-Map

I hope you understand the topic!
