PERSONAL REFLECTION AND STUDY TECHNIQUES
Hey you all! As you see i will share with you in this post my personal reflection of convergent & divergent thinking and how we could work with these types of thinking on a simple question like: what is a computer?
Last week we work in class with that question. Our teacher explained us, that there are 2 different ways to ask that question.
CONVERGENT DIVERGENT
Convergent questions are that kind of questions that get you to that one answer. This is a much more basic comprehension level thinking. These clothes ended questions, often begin with: Who...? What...? Where...? When...?
Divergent questions are those questions that allow us to explore ore avenues and concider all of the posibilities. A divergent question migth lead to even more questions and that is a great thing! In terms of levels of thinking they are much more analytical and evaluative requiring a bit more brainpower. They help you to "think outside the box!" and bayond a basic topic. Divergent questions or open-ended questions begin with phrases such us: How could...? How migth...? Suppose...
Our teacher gave us a excersice to understand more clearly this concepts of thinking. We create a Mind-Map based on the question: What is a computer? We worked with "Mindomo", that i found great for this assignment.
Working with Mind-Maps can simplify the information and organise the concepts.
This is a picture of me working on the Mind-Map!
I hope you enjoy this post and understand better the concepts and different types of thinking. Hopefully this will help you in upcoming assignments and in the day to day life.
See you soon! =)
